Drug Educators Alliance Announces Development of ONE Platform

Drug Educators Alliance works to prevent drug abuse through truthful, factual, age-appropriate education, early intervention, and community collaboration. The organization currently works through national partnerships, presentations, educator outreach, free youth drug education presentations when staffing and funding are available, and the distribution and use of educational resources from the Foundation for a Drug-Free World.

The organization is now preparing a broader digital and educational infrastructure intended to help young people, parents, educators, schools, law enforcement agencies, employers, courts, and community organizations access practical drug education in ways that are easier to find, understand, and use.

Drug Educators Alliance ONE Platform: a connected foundation for multiple audiences

ONE Platform is being planned as the underlying technology foundation for several Drug Educators Alliance initiatives now in development. Rather than building a separate system for every program, the vision is to create one foundation that can support different audiences, approved knowledge and content workflows, courses and curriculum, audience experiences, surveys, measurement, privacy, security, and future organizational tools.

Using real questions to improve drug education content

One goal of the planned system is to help Drug Educators Alliance understand what young people, parents, and communities are actually asking. Questions that cannot yet be answered from approved sources can help identify content gaps and guide future research, videos, publications, courses, and educational resources.

Drug Educators Alliance works through presentations, partnerships, educator outreach, and the distribution and use of educational resources. Educational materials visible in outreach photos may include resources from partner organizations.

Seeking founding partners for the Drug Educators Alliance ONE Platform

Drug Educators Alliance is now seeking founding partners, technology partners, philanthropic supporters, and strategic collaborators who want to help move the ONE Platform and related initiatives from planning into the first working phase.

Initial priorities include selecting a technology partner, beginning ONE Platform Phase 1, developing the Real Answers youth experience and Parent Education Portal, preparing youth and parent social content, building approved research and knowledge workflows, producing educational videos and resources, and establishing privacy, security, and measurement standards.
